Every teacher can easily use the method of teaching English via mobile phones in or outside a class. As Dr. Naveen K. Mehta says in his article about Mobile Assisted Language Learning we can use mobile phones for many reasons in teaching English individually or in groups. The tools of mobile phones that can be used in teaching English:
Mobile phones have:
cameras;
sms;
voice call;
voice recorder;
internet;
secundomers ;
bluetooth;
timer;
etc.,
And all these features above can be very useful for English teachers. I suggest using for example voice recorder and bluetooth tools in one of my lessons. I give my pupils different short texts and ask them to record their voice while reading the whole text. And in the next lesson I divide my pupils into two groups and ask the first group to share their recorded voice texts with another pupil from the second group. And after sharing the files they must listen to the texts and tell the meaning to another group and guess whose voice it is.
Sure, during the lesson I can face different problems and have some disadvantages. But, I am sure that kind of approach to the lesson can easily motivate all the pupils and make them be more active.
